Tax Protestor Issues

Frivolous and silly reasons for not paying.

These are publicized as the IRS Dirty Dozen.  Don't believe any of the nonsense you may have heard. Adherents have a 100% failure rate in Court.  Actually, it works out to worse than a 100% failure rate:

If you take a frivolous case to Tax Court you will irritate the judge and can find your bill increased with a penalty of up to $25,000 for attempting to delay collection and wasting the court's time.  I can show you one case where a particularly persistent tax denier had a $25,000 penalty added to a $2,500 bill.  If you have been sucked in to one of these schemes, you have to be ready to say, "I was wrong and am going change my tune" or nobody can help you. You are wasting your time if you don't.
