Undoing an Audit
Was your return audited without your help?
If you did not get the letter telling you your tax return was being audited or you ignored letters from IRS for any reason, the IRS can audit the return without you being able to defend yourself. The result will not be something that will make you happy.
Fortunately, if you can show the additional tax is were excessive, it can be reduced after an AUDIT RECONSIDERATION. The best way to deal with a tax audit is to have your documentation available at the start. Don't be a no-show. If you get an audit letter or an IRS Notice proposing additional taxes or have waited too long, call me and we can determine what can be done to reduce or eliminate the bill.
