Aqua Viva Photo Gallery

A tour of the facility

If you come with us on either trip, be sure and bring your camera.  It is an entirely different world than what you are used to back in the USA, particularly if you are a city dweller.   Here are pictures taken at Aqua Viva during our June 2007 trip.

This is the Aqua Viva main building that you see as you come up the road to the facility.  You can't miss it during the day.

A colonia, a small village of houses built on small lots with cast off materials such as discarded garage doors, is developing is developing next door to Aqua Viva.  The residents are migrants from southern Mexico where wages are only half the $7 per day they can earn in Baja California.

Since the weather was pleasant all week, we made every meal into a picnic.

One of our major projects was waterproofing the foundation and improving aesthetics of the main building by installing a rock flower flower bed its entire length.

The final result was a great improvement over what we started with.

The flower bed looked better after another layer of rocks was laid and after the flowers arrived.

A little bit of green made the whole area look homier.

Members of the Trinity Puppet Team had an opportunity to put on an international presentation.

Coloring books know no national borders

Not everybody worked hard. Freckles just specialized in being cute.
